*Do you know a project that is making a difference in the cultural field?*

BC Museums Association is accepting nominations for projects making a
substantial contribution to BC’s cultural sector for its upcoming issue of
Roundup Magazine. Selected winners will be featured in Roundup’s winter
2018 issue, *Change Makers*. *Change Makers* is an annual theme aimed at
celebrating the sector and the exceptional and innovative projects that
make it great.

Nominations are encouraged for projects from across BC who demonstrate
innovation, imagination and advancement in the field. Nominations are
encouraged from those who consider their projects to be “socially
innovative”, whether it’s a large-scale technology intitative or a new
advancement in a small town. Nominated projects can represent various
sectors including leadership, education, exhibition design, archives,
customer services, technology, communications or marketing. Project
participants can be paid staff or volunteers.

*Criteria:*

   - Project participants must be currently working or volunteering in the
   cultural sector.
   - Project participants who are retired from the cultural sector are
   eligible.
   - Projects may be from non-profit, private or public sectors.
   - Self nominations are admissible.

Winners will be selected from the nominees by the Roundup Magazine
Editorial Committee, a representative sub-committee of the BCMA.
Nominations are encouraged from across BC. A person can nominate more than
one project. Not all nominations will be selected for publication. Nominees
are not required to be BCMA members.

*Submission Requirements:*

Nominations may be submitted by BCMA members or non members and must
include:

   - Completed nomination form
   - A detailed letter of nomination (500 words max) with specific,
concrete examples that speak to the projects’ innovation, advocacy,
imagination and advancement in the field. Application must demonstrate how
the project’s contribution has added long or short term value to the field.

*If selected, the nominated project participants must chose to accept the
nomination and will then supply a biography summarizing the projects and
its contribution to the field.*

*Please submit your completed nomination (see attached) via email
to jlemke at museumsassn.bc.ca <jlemke at museumsassn.bc.ca> by December 15,
2017. *
