[BCMA] Donation on Offer

Good afternoon;

We were recently contacted by Rose Crowley Kampel and wanted to pass on
(with her permission) her request in case any Museum was interested.

>From Rose: "I am writing on behalf of the estate of Alberta Crowley.
Alberta (my mother) was a long term resident of the Qualicum Beach /
Parksville area.  She passed away this summer.

My mother had some antique items, circa 1830, which were brought from
Scotland/Ireland first to New Brunswick and then much later to BC.  She had
previously donated an Irish Walking Wheel to the Craig Heritage Park Museum
in Parksville, but still had a spinning wheel and skein winder.  Her wish
was that these be donated to a museum.

In accordance with her wishes, I am looking for a museum or historic
society that could use these items.  I am attaching photos of both.  Other
than their ages and origins, I can tell you that the base of the skein
winder is iron wood, which would have been used as ballast on a ship."
