[BCMA] Vancouver Maritime Museum: Changing the Narrative, Virtual Black History Month Workshop!

Good afternoon all,

The Vancouver Maritime Museum (VMM) has partnered with the National Congress of Black Women Foundation (NCBWF) to present Changing the Narrative, a virtual Black History Month workshop that looks at the contributions of Black Canadians to the history of B.C.

This two-hour workshop will take place on Friday, February 12th from 10:00am – 12:00pm and includes a short video, a panel discussion, question-and-answer period. The workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in Black Canadian history or teaches in B.C. school districts. Tickets for the workshop are $20 for educators and adults and $10 for students. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards the NCBWF Fall 2021 scholarship/bursary fund which will award 2021 students $1000 to go toward their education.
